The certification process is broken down into two components:
1. Academic and Confined Water Training
2. Open Water Certification Dives.
The Academic and Confined Water training portions of the Open Water Scuba Diver builds the foundation needed to experience a lifetime of new challenges and experiences. Offered numerous times per year, the Kids Only training of the Open Water Scuba Diver builds the foundation for your training, teaching you to be a safe and competent diver. Using the knowledge you have gained throughout your academic studies, the underwater world will be opened as you experience your first breath underwater. This is your opportunity to get comfortable with the water, equipment and theory of scuba diving. Your professional instructor will be supervising your training at all times to attend to your individual needs.
The Academic and Confined Water Program:
- Student Kit: includes your Open Water Diver Manual, eRDPML dive planner and logbook pages.
- Open Water DVD set (one per family or group).
- Photos for your certification card.Scuba equipment rental, including mask, fins, snorkel, regulator, BCD, wetsuit, weights and tanks for the Confined Training.
Classes are taught many times a month, including both weekend and weeknight options. You can even start your course on-line. Our classes range from $200 (regularly scheduled class) to $325 (private course) plus materials (see prices below).
PADI Student Kit includes Open Water Manual, eRDPML Dive Planner, Logbook pages and required course paperwork: $80.00
