Master Scuba Diver Trainer

The Fun Part – What you get to do and learn!

You have your Open Water Scuba Instructor rating.  You’re having fun teaching the open water, advanced, rescue and other PADI dive programs.  However, your students want to take specialty classes from you so that they are more knowledgeable, more safe, and having more fun diving in new environments or participating in additional types of diving.  You enjoy teaching them, but you’re not comfortable with how to conduct the various specialty classes that they are asking for.  So what do you do?  You earn the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating of course!  The Master Scuba Diver Trainer course is actually five PADI Specialty Instructor courses conducted in an integrated manner over 3 or 4 days.  You will learn how to organize, market and conduct the five PADI Specialty courses.  By participating in the Master Scuba Diver Trainer course, you will be more comfortable providing the training to your students that they want from you.

What you can do as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Specialty Course Instructor

As a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, you will be able provide specialty course instruction to your students and certify them as PADI Specialty Divers.  This allows you to meet their needs and help them grow as divers. And it is a great addition to the courses that you can already teach, which makes your dive instruction even more fun.

Prerequisites

To participate in a PADI Specialty Instructor Training Course, you must be at least a PADI Assistant Instructor (certified/upgraded since 1995), or completed an IDC/OWSI Program within the past 12 months.  Assistant Instructors may become Specialty Instructors in only those specialty courses that do not include open water dives.  There may be additional prerequisites for certain specialty instructor training courses.

Course Fee
The fee for the course is $500.  This includes all classroom, confined water and open water sessions, as well as tanks and weights for all dive activities.

Individual or additional Specialty Instructor Trainer classes are available for $125.  Contact the One World Dive & Travel Course Director for available classes.

The course fee does not include materials or the PADI application fees.
